Designed in collaboration with Turner Hughes Architects, this full renovation reimagines a classic terrace home in the heart of Paddington. The brief was to bring a solid but outdated home into the present day, prioritising natural light, contemporary finishes, and smarter use of space.

The ArvCorp team began by stabilising the existing structure through precision underpinning and contiguous piled excavation. This enabled a new sub-floor garage level. Enabling maximisation of useable space and invaluable off street parking.

The rear of the home was extended with a suspended slab, forming a generous outdoor terrace and BBQ area. The existing rooftop entertaining area was transformed utilising ARDEX WPM 715, UV stable, torch on waterproofing to protect the living areas below, finishing the floor with the Future Wood composite decking system and installation of an insulated roofing panel system. Creating a private sanctuary in the city skyline.

Internally, comfort and performance were prioritised: underfloor heating in the bathrooms, a VRV air conditioning system with recessed grills for climate control while preserving the architectural design, and rich Hekke Grande engineered timber flooring supplied by Tongue & Groove .

Every fixture and finish was selected to complement the home’s “modern industrial meets heritage terrace” identity.

Despite its narrow site, this home now breathes with light, flow, and function, delighting the owners with its clever spatial upgrades and beautiful material execution.
