This renovation was designed to elevate the home’s unique split-level layout and enhance its sense of openness. Capitalising on the dramatic raked ceilings, the internal structure was reconfigured to introduce an open plan kitchen featuring 60mm Caesarstone benchtops with a waterfall edge. Original natural timber floors were sanded and polished to restore their warmth and brighten the interiors.
Below, the previously underutilised subfloor area was transformed into a functional rumpus room. By increasing the head height and installing quality finishes, the space now serves as a cosy secondary lounge, accessed via a sculptural steel spiral staircase.
This project was undertaken to reimagine the home as a welcoming, light-filled retreat — one tailored for modern family living and connection.
